First, you have to apply foundation on your face, and then look close you have to spot where to use darker shade which will bring your cheekbones out. You can suck your cheeks in, and you will look like a duck. You may use your fingers to spot which is your hollow part of the cheeks. You can use your fingers on both cheeks now find the hollow (dip) part of your cheeks. Now that is the place where you can use a darker shade.
Use your brush buff dark powder /contour stick on the hollow of your cheeks and use soft back and forth strokes. You must keep in mind that this must be done gradually and always use a small amount initially. If you feel that you have to add a bit more, you can do it later. It will save you, and you don't have to do it again.

STEP 2 - DEFINE YOUR FEATURES

While you darker contour, you have to find a hairline and then down towards your temple. It can give a slimming effect-you can use it if you have a more prominent forehead.
Now apply your brush down on both sides of your nose. And make sure to keep the strokes narrow, particularly at the tip. If your nose is short, you can stroke up, making your nose look wider and longer.

STEP 3 - DEFINE YOUR JAW

Defining a jawline can change your look completely. You can use a makeup brush/stick and apply your contour on the length of your jaw on both sides of your chin. Now you can blend the lines downwards after that.

Now use a different brush to avoid mixing darker colors with it. Use your highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones and under the eyes. It will give you the look of having a great bone structure, and your bones will look forward. Now, do the same with your nose. On the middle of your forehead and in the center of your chin, drop your highlighter here. Now again, remember the same thing use a bit and add more if you feel so. On the narrow parts, for example, sides of the nose, you can use your fingers and squeeze the tip of the brush with your fingers to make it small so that it can work on these parts.
Blending is a crucial part of contouring. Many people make mistakes and don't blend their contouring which gives a wired look.
